      All fertilizer labels must follow the same format according to the state fertilizer laws. In African Violet 12-36-14, the first number is for Nitrogen. This product contains 12% Nitrogen. The second number is for Phosphate. This product contains 36% Phosphorus as P2O5. The third number is for Potash. This product contains 14% Potassium as K2O. These three elements; Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium are the major elements in any plant food.
