Useful tips when using Jack's Classicote

Jack's Classicote 16-9-23 is formulated to keep plants looking their best through the summer growing season. 

 

Researchers and formulators at JR PETERS often heard the complaint that once plants left the garden center they never looked as nice. We were inspired to produce a long lasting time-release fertilizer that would extend the beauty of plant past the doors of the garden center.

 

Our 16-9-23 formula is different from anything else out there for the home professional grower. The product is also widely used by grower/ retailers as a bit of "crop insurance" so that their customer’s plants are kept fed much into the growing season.

 

Useful measurements when determining how much to apply to your container:

 

Garden plants

6 cell pack - 1/2 teaspoon mixed into transplant hole

Quart to Gallon transplants - 1 tablespoon per plant

Established plants - 1 tablespoon per square foot around the root zone

 

Indoor plants

Pot sizes

4" or smaller - 1/2 teaspoon

5-11" pots 1.5 teaspoon

12 -14" pots 1 tablespoon

 

Outdoor containers

8' container or smaller - Mix 2 teaspoons in the media before transplant

9- 14" container - Mix 1.5 tablespoon in the media before transplant

15" + containers Mix 3 tablespoons in the media before transplant.

 

*Note can follow with a repeat top dress application after 2 months especially in a hot and / or rainy season.
