Dear Jack’s Classic Company,
    

     Our names are Molly Rudinger and Julia Keinan. We are in the eighth grade at Bedford Middle School, in Westport, Connecticut. We recently conducted a test regarding the effect of different plant foods on plant growth. The plant foods that we used were: MiracleGro, Neptune’s Harvest, and your brand, Jack’s Classic.
     Our experiment was to plant two-hundred cat grass wheat seeds into four different pots (fifty seeds in each) that had two cups of soil in each pot. We would then put the correct amount of plant food into a measuring cup containing one-hundred and fifty milliliters of clear water. After the two substances were stirred together, the mixture was poured into the soil along with the seeds. The plants were watered once during this week long experiment. Two trials were tested for this process.
     Our hypothesis for this experiment was: if MiracleGro is used, then the plant will grow taller. After seven days of conducting our experiment, our hypothesis was proven wrong. The average heights for the three trials and the control were as follows: the plant with no plant food grew to be 12.4 centimeters. The plant with MiracleGro was 10.95 centimeters. The plant with Neptune’s Harvest grew to 11.95 centimeters, and the plant with Jacks Classic grew to be 12.95 centimeters.
     As you can see, the plant with Jack's Classic grew the most. This proved our hypothesis wrong.
     We wrote this letter so that we could acknowledge the fact that your plant food proved to be the most effective. From here on into the future, we will recommend your plant food to anybody with a “green thumb”.

     I have never had a green thumb.  It's always been hit and miss. I thought maybe the dirt wasn't rich enough, or there wasn't enough sunlight, or perhaps I was using the wrong fertilizer, as the plants seemed to burn.

     That didn't matter this summer.

     Since I went to Randy's Raising's in Calcutta,Ohio, and purchased your product, to use on my houseplants, rose bushes, and garden plants, I have a crop of tomatoes,( 25 on four plants that are five feet , two inches tall!) twice as many green peppers, blooms in all my flowering beds, and greener vines, that grow an inch at night! My flowering petunia baskets aren't as impressive as the ones on your site, but they were half dead from not having water.  I couldn't stand watching my neighbor ignore them any longer, so I fed them Jack's Classic one night, and two days later he gave them to me. He is using a competitor's product. His tomato plants appear dwarfed, at two and a half feet tall, with small fruit, and his plants out number mine.

     I will continue to grow my summer plants and house plants with your product.

     Two years ago I switched to your Jack's Professional Orchid fertilizer 16-4-20 Cal Mag. My orchids have never been better!

     This past weekend, my orchid display at the Knoxville, Tennessee orchid show won 11 blue ribbons, four trophies, the American Orchid Society's prestigious Show Trophy, the American Orchid Society's Award of Merit and the Certificate of Cultural Merit.
