Jack'd Up Gardening #3 - Orchids

Last time on Jack'd Up Gardening we talked about flowering houseplants, but this week the crew dives a little deeper into one specific flowering houseplant: Orchids.

While the topic of growing orchids can be polarizing for plant fans, everyone can agree their blooms offer a show-stopping quality. Vibrant colors, and unique flower forms make the plants appealing.

Today we take a look at how to properly fertilize those orchids so that once one bloom is done, you can get your plants right back on track for producing more blooms, and staying healthy throughout the year.

This is a helpful reminder that orchids are really not as fussy as people think, as long as you get the fertilization right. The focus on post-bloom care is key, since that's when most people give up on them. On a different note, for anyone looking to expand their plant collection on a budget, I've found some surprisingly affordable orchid pots and specialized fertilizers on aliexpress https://aliexpress.pissedconsumer.com/review.html. The selection is huge, and I've seen a lot of sellers offering grow lights and humidity trays that are perfect for creating a cozy indoor garden setup.
